Our Story
Simply Southern Celebrations Catering (SSCC) is a family-owned business specializing in southern cuisine and great prices. Our motto is Celebrating life and food southern style. We provide food for all of life’s events including weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, funeral repasses, corporate board meetings, corporate breakfast and lunches. SSCC also provides nutritious weekly meals for the homebound, elderly and busy people who need well-balaned meals. We offer delivery services, drop-off and full-service options for your events.
SSCC was founded by Kim Riggins on January 2, 2012. Her sorority sister and fellow church member had written a book and was having a book signing and asked her to “cater” her book signing event. Fresh out of culinary school, Kim was eager to showcase her skills. She got her daughter to assist and the event was wonderful. SSCC hasn’t looked back since.
Now back in eastern North Carolina, SSCC business has grown from just doing special events to providing weekly meals to seniors, busy professionals and those home bound. SSCC still caters special events for all occasions. We specialize in comfort food that taste like home.
